Basilio Gaizko's late challenge caught a Nuñorco F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basilio Gaizko helped the player get up and apologised. Cecilio Monico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cecilio Monico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Gaizko in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Leopoldo Artizar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nuñorco F.C. and the Favorina players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Favorina booed when Nuñorco F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Lop struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Cecilio Monico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Favorina. Basilio Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Denis Lop succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 25th playminute. Denis Lop might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Monico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Lop ran back to his position shaking his head. Favorina's Basilio Gaizko was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Basilio Gaizko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cecilio Monico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Favorina's Basilio Gaizko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cecilio Monico. Cecilio Monico yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. With a little luck, Nuñorco F.C.'s Cecilio Monico got control of the ball when Denis Lop tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, one of Nuñorco F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cecilio Monico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Gaizko in the 44th minute of play. If Denis Lop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Basilio Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Ascencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basilio Gaizko scored 4-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cecilio Monico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cecilio Monico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Lop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Denis Lop came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Favorina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Lop couldn't finish the play. Cecilio Monico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Lop in the 71st minute of the match. Nicanor Ascencio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ubaldo Jerano came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicanor Ascencio slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 73rd minute. Denis Lop struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cecilio Monico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Favorina. Basilio Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Monico having to interfere. Robustiano Ilixo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Nuñorco F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Denis Lop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nuñorco F.C.'s zone, Basilio Gaizko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Monico came out of the goal and Basilio Gaizko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Favorina were the better team. Favorina's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
