Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Venancio Socorro got the match started through his kick off. Pablo Nevada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Gabirel having to interfere. Marcelo Gabirel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victoriano Nesor in the 7th minute. Pablo Nevada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Ciénaga's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Nesor came free, but Marcelo Gabirel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Nevada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Victoriano Nesor put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Gabirel. If Victoriano Nesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Pablo Nevada could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which Marcelo Gabirel however easily saved by the left post. Esteban Joanes charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Liniers's Domingo Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Socorro in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venancio Socorro in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingo Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roberto Ponc hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Carolo Fonso came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ciénaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carolo Fonso couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the game, Froilan Lorien was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liniers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciénaga the free kick.
