Anacleto Jago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Filipo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When Atilano Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Brete fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Domingues couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Danilo Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureliano Filipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Filipo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Justino Nerio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabrera FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brete the free kick. After 21 played minutes Cabrera FC got a freekick which was hit by Justino Nerio. Mario Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Abeitia having to interfere. Jacinto Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rolando Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Ruy in the 32nd minute of play forced Brete's goalkeeper Rolando Abeitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Brete's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Ruy came free, but Rolando Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Filipo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atilano Domingues's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Anacleto Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Filipo having to interfere. Aureliano Filipo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atilano Domingues went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Jago made a kick off. Atilano Domingues struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Aureliano Filipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brete. In the 59th minute, Hector Segio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Danilo Heriberto fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabrera FC's protests and gave Danilo Heriberto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, one of Cabrera FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cabrera FC. Vladimiro Pes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Anacleto Jago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aureliano Filipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Damario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute Anacleto Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Filipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cabrera FC's zone, Roberto Tiniebra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Filipo came out of the goal and Roberto Tiniebra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cabrera FC's Aureliano Filipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Jago in the 82nd minute of play. Mario Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anacleto Jago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aureliano Filipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Tiniebra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cabrera FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Anacleto Jago 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Rolando Abeitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Santos in the 96th minute of play. If Anacleto Jago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cabrera FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brete were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
