Gabriel Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Dodorol hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Abalos in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Cordarryl saved Marini from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Abalos in the 11th minute of play forced Marini's goalkeeper Gabriel Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Cordarryl having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximino Cristos during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Ekhi got free with Gabriel Cordarryl in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 31st minute of the match Maximino Cristos completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maximino Cristos a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Elpidio Abalos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Goya AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 35 minutes into the match, Goya AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Palben came free, but Reynaldo Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes, Ildefonso Dodorol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marini and the Goya AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marini's Ildefonso Dodorol got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Ekhi got free with Gabriel Cordarryl in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulino Ekhi in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gabriel Cordarryl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Abalos to make the kick off. A collision led to Marini getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Vladimiro Oriol hit a great ball. Goya AFC were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Marini's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eriberto Montel took the corner. The corner led Goya AFC's Eriberto Montel to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Cordarryl despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gabriel Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Abalos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blas Buinton charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Buinton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marini's Gabriel Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Abalos in the 62nd minute of play. If Paulino Ekhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silverio Palben came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Marini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Palben couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the game, Inocencio Silban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goya AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marini the free kick. The supporters of Marini booed when Goya AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Silverio Palben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goya AFC's Elpidio Abalos got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Marini's zone, Elpidio Abalos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Cordarryl came out of the goal and Elpidio Abalos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the game, Aldo Tajo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marini's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goya AFC the free kick. Aldo Tajo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Goya AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Ekhi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Cordarryl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Marini players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Goya AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
