When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Astor Quinto sped through Gualeguaychú AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Hustaz. Raimundo Cesario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Micael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Lucio Urki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pavón and the Gualeguaychú AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Pavón's zone, Israel Gilesindo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Micael came out of the goal and Israel Gilesindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raimundo Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Micael having to interfere. Roman Micael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Gilesindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Raimundo Cesario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualeguaychú AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Cesario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saturnino Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Gualeguaychú AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gabriel Errando hit a great ball. Israel Gilesindo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Micael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Israel Gilesindo ran back to his position shaking his head. Roman Micael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Gilesindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The audience was convinced that Astor Quinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Hustaz was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Tomas Leocadio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Raul Hustaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
