Baldomiro Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Maxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Freddy Cefero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Mikelar was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 4th minute, Maximiliano Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Mercurio in the 8th minute of play forced Salguero FC's goalkeeper Uriel Bertran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Ricart had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Mikelar. Castillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Ricart was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Clodoveo Ricart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Mikelar having to interfere. A collision led to Castillo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Victor Botello hit a great ball. Mario Calvino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Clodoveo Ricart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salguero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Ricart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Mikelar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Castillo's Julian Taurino got a free kick in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Atilano Kaxen sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Baldomiro Mikelar threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Atilano Kaxen this time. After a defensive mix-up in Salguero FC's zone, Inocencio Gauargi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Bertran came out of the goal and Inocencio Gauargi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Mario Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Salguero FC's Baldomiro Mikelar threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Berdaitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Daniel Berdaitz made the kick off in the second half. Freddy Cefero hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Salguero FC's Uriel Bertran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Salguero FC from getting a goal against them. Baldomiro Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rogelio Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes, Castillo's Salvador Serafo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uriel Bertran came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castillo reached it. Inocencio Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uriel Bertran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Mercurio in the 76th minute. If Inocencio Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Mercurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogelio Mercurio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Uriel Bertran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rogelio Mercurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Uriel Bertran made a huge save. Baldomiro Mikelar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clodoveo Ricart's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Ricart in the 89th minute of play forced Castillo's goalkeeper Baldomiro Mikelar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Ricart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Mercurio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Uriel Bertran made a huge save.
