With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Ongile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Candelaria's Lucio Franco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Ongile narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Candelaria's Marcos Gregory slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernan Ongile. Hernan Ongile breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes Baibiene got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Ereinotz. Hernan Ongile made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Lucio Franco sent off a good shot on target. In the 35thth minute of the game Marcos Gregory who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baibiene's Hernan Ongile was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baibiene's Hernan Ongile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Baibiene from getting a goal against them. Hernan Ongile took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Gregory, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Candelaria's Haroldo Reynardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Osorio in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Marcos Gregory made a precise shot to the right of Hernan Ongile. Baibiene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 68th minute, Feliberto Ibañez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Baibiene's zone, Marcos Gregory stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Ongile came out of the goal and Marcos Gregory tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Reynardo having to interfere. Gogo Jurdan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Ramon Burni notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Club Atletico Candelaria's Haroldo Reynardo. Haroldo Reynardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Gregory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 87 played minutes Baibiene got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Cordarin. Club Atletico Candelaria's Lucio Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marcos Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Hernan Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atletico Candelaria's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
