Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) River Plate's Ciriaco Osoitz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Rinconada AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Confesor to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Hermelando made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Paulino Hernando sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Caradaro in the 11th minute of play. Dalmacio Regis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Osoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 16 minutes, Gabriel Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Platon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Gabriel Platon notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rinconada AFC's Dalmacio Regis. Dalmacio Regis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodrigo Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Caradaro in the 25th minute of play. After 29 minutes of play, River Plate's Gabriel Platon made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dalmacio Regis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gabriel Platon struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Dalmacio Regis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Romeo Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gabriel Platon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dalmacio Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47thth minute of the game Romeo Caradaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Rodrigo Hermelando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ciriaco Osoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rinconada AFC's Jairo Confesor got a free kick in the 63rd minute. German Farias missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 65 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Dalmacio Regis right hand side. Ciriaco Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Regis having to interfere. The supporters of River Plate booed when Rinconada AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Ciriaco Osoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Regis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Platon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Dalmacio Regis made a huge save. Damian Sazon's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Sazon helped the player get up and apologised. Damian Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Ciriaco Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Platon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Caradaro struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Rodrigo Hermelando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rinconada AFC. Rinconada AFC's Paulino Hernando got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Romeo Caradaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Hermelando came out of the goal and Romeo Caradaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmacio Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Osoitz in the 92nd minute of play. When Romeo Caradaro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Rinconada AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Caradaro couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Platon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dalmacio Regis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Plate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
