Freddy Eneto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Luken in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes BOCA JUNIORS by FEFA got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Urko. The audience was convinced that Timoteo Reynardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Eneto was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Joel Cordearo's late challenge caught a Merlot FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Eneto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Luken, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Miguel Luken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Eneto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Eustaquio Martxelin charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustaquio Martxelin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Timoteo Reynardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Eneto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Reynardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Timoteo Reynardo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Merlot FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Reynardo couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Tancredo made a kick off. If Miguel Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. In the 67th minute Manuel Tancredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Pascual Laffitte sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and BOCA JUNIORS by FEFA's Freddy Eneto didn't even have to move. Timoteo Reynardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Eneto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timoteo Reynardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Merlot FC were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after BOCA JUNIORS by FEFA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pascual Laffitte took the corner. Freddy Eneto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Reynardo in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 minutes of play BOCA JUNIORS by FEFA's Eustaquio Martxelin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down.
