Leo Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Gaztea, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Roman Ubarna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leo Haimar firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Roman Ubarna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Haimar. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Leo Haimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Gaztea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palmita's Roman Ubarna got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Ricardo Gaztea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leo Haimar, 2-0. Leo Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Gaztea in the 30th minute of play. If Roman Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Tigre's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Gaztea came free, but Leo Haimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Gaztea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Haimar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Roman Ubarna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 43rd minute, Palmita's Ricardo Gaztea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Haimar. Leo Haimar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Roman Ubarna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Ricardo Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Ricardo Gaztea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Haimar. Tigre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Gaztea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Roman Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Haimar having to interfere. If Roman Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Gaztea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Haimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Palmita's Roman Ubarna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Haimar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Ricardo Gaztea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Haimar having to interfere. Leo Haimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Gaztea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roman Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tigre! Placido Cordaryal shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 7-0 became the score in the 99th minute when Ricardo Gaztea elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Palmita fully deserved thier win.
