In the 5thth minute of the game Adrian Ubendu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Asus's Celestino Patrido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celestino Patrido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Rioja in the 6th minute of play. Felipe Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Teobaldo Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Felipe Perico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Belmiro was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. If Teodoro Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yalapa's Teobaldo Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Perico in the 21st minute of play. Teobaldo Belmiro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Felipe Perico sent off a good shot on target. Teobaldo Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Perico in the 28th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Teobaldo Belmiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Felipe Perico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Perico in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Belmiro saved Yalapa from getting behind. Asus's Celestino Patrido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Rioja in the 41st minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Felipe Perico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa's Teobaldo Belmiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Adrian Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yalapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Ubendu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Patrido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Perico to make the kick off. Teobaldo Belmiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Nuno in the 52nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocencio Karmel couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Asus booed when Yalapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Teodoro Nuno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teobaldo Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Perico, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Asus's Celestino Patrido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Asus from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Perico came free, but Teobaldo Belmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Ubendu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Patrido having to interfere. Teobaldo Belmiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Perico went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Jonathan Rioja dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celestino Patrido, 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
