An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Raitin in the 26th minute of play forced Los Gladiadores Azules's goalkeeper Benedicto Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Ladislao Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chañaritos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Mero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Sidro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lázaro Argina could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Leon Tonio however easily saved by the left post. Ricardo Ponc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Tonio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute Ricardo Ponc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Leon Tonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Tonio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Ponc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Transito was the one to do the kick off. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chañaritos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
