If Norberto Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Villarino's zone, Roberto Manex stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Ostots came out of the goal and Roberto Manex tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atletico Villarino's Armando Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Manex in the 37th minute of play. Modesto Alvarez charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 38th minute, Modesto Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Ostots showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Manex, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 45th match minute, Elertondo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Cordarrol to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Seber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ernesto Llope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Niceto Otsando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Llope having to interfere.
