In the 20th match minute, La Academia F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Beturian to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Oinatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Evaristo Txartiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Beturian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Guido Berart when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Club Atletico Temperley's Guido Berart got control of the ball when Honorio Beturian tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Temperley's zone, Honorio Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Berart came out of the goal and Honorio Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Saul Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as La Academia F.C's Saul Iruinea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guido Berart. That made the score 0-1 after 64 minutes of play. Saul Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Berart having to interfere. The supporters of La Academia F.C booed when Club Atletico Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite this Guido Berart quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Victor Stephen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Honorio Beturian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Berart was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 97 minutes into the match, La Academia F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Oinatz came free, but Evaristo Txartiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The La Academia F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Academia F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
