Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornelio Bero in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Conrado Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sampacho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelio Bero in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Martxel saved Lagartos FC from getting behind. Sampacho's Antonio Caitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Guifre in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Damaso Sotero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sampacho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lagartos FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lagartos FC's Justo Shantala got a free kick in the 39th minute. Elvio Beti was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cirilo Balendin was the one to do the kick off. Antonio Caitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Guifre in the 52nd minute of the match. Antonio Caitano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Guifre's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Bero got free with Conrado Martxel in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornelio Bero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Conrado Martxel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the game, Sampacho's Cornelio Bero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Martxel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 74th match minute, Lagartos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Ulizes to maneuver through the defense. If Cornelio Bero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Jesus Guifre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagartos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Guifre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesus Guifre's late challenge caught a Sampacho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesus Guifre helped the player get up and apologised. 91 minutes into the match, Lagartos FC's goalkeeper Conrado Martxel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornelio Bero. In the 95th minute, Cirilo Balendin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Conrado Martxel, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Cornelio Bero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sampacho's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Bero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Martxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sampacho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
