The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pura FT2's Marcelo Cilio got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niceto Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the game, Pura FT2's Marcelo Cilio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Marcelo Cilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was a brilliant solo performance by Cerrillos's Gaston Chucho when he shot the ball into the net to 1-2 in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

If Remigio Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Libertad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Niceto Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Ticho might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niceto Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigio Libertad got free with Niceto Arias in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrillos's zone, Gustavo Endura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Arias came out of the goal and Gustavo Endura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marcelo Cilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Cilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute Marcelo Cilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Libertad scored 1-4 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Arias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pura FT2 played a much better game than Cerrillos and deserved their victory. The Cerrillos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
