The supporters of Tartagal FC booed when Jaramillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Rocio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Olayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Tartagal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Brun came free, but Feliciano Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Rafel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Feliciano Rico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the game, Fabricio Ibañez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tartagal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaramillo the free kick. In the 25th minute, Tartagal FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Brun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedro Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35th play minutes Justino Felipo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Victoriano Olayo and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Freddy Rocio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartagal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Rocio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Justino Felipo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Victoriano Olayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Brun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Freddy Rocio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Olayo having to interfere. Freddy Rocio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victoriano Olayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Felipo in the 58th minute of play. Feliciano Rico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Brun in the 60th minute of the match. Leopoldo Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Feliciano Rico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Tartagal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Brun came free, but Feliciano Rico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Rocio struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Victoriano Olayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tartagal FC. Victoriano Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Felipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victoriano Olayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Felipo in the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tartagal FC's Freddy Rocio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victoriano Olayo. That made the score 1-3 after 80 minutes of play. Victoriano Olayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justino Felipo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jaramillo's zone, Aldo Rico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Olayo came out of the goal and Aldo Rico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Jaramillo's goalkeeper Victoriano Olayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Rocio. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tartagal FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
