The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tambería getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sixto Aznaro hit a great ball. With a little luck, Tambería's Marcelino Firmin got control of the ball when Ubaldo Nardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto Raitin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Medero having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Tambería's zone, Ubaldo Nardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Firmin came out of the goal and Ubaldo Nardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Melchor Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Carolina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Raitin came free, but Julian Medero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Fausto Raitin made the kick off in the second half. Carolina FC's Julian Medero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Raitin in the 55th minute of play. If Fausto Raitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Tambería got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Aznaro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Bizi in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Firmin saved Tambería from getting behind. In the 80th minute, Tambería's Fausto Raitin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. In the 91st match minute, Carolina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Baraquiel to maneuver through the defense. Hilario Frantzes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julian Medero. Carolina FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Tambería booed when Carolina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
