The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Romeo Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Duardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Edelmiro Toli made a huge save. When Romeo Nikola came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pinguino United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Nikola couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Micael hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Pinguino United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Nikola to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Baraquiel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Pinguino United's Romulo Duardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edelmiro Toli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Pinguino United booed when Niquivil AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes in the game, Romeo Nikola fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edelmiro Toli having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Nikola to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pinguino United's zone, Eriberto Burni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Baristo came out of the goal and Eriberto Burni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 52nd minute, Eriberto Burni fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aristides Baristo, passed just outside the right post. 56 minutes into the match, Romulo Duardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Toli. Niquivil AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romulo Duardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Clemente Baraquiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Aristides Baristo managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Niquivil AFC's Clemente Baraquiel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Romeo Nikola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Toli having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Nikola in the 81st minute of play forced Niquivil AFC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Baristo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Burni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute of the match Justo Iliana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aristides Baristo skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Duardo in the 87th minute of play forced Niquivil AFC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Toli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Edelmiro Toli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Nikola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
