In the 12th minute, Tulumaya's Celso Luzaide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Romildo. Marcelo Romildo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Ricardo Pacifico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Roman Gasteiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Romildo skillfully saved the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Maximino Argina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Pacifico. Tulumaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Argina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Marcelo Romildo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Aquilino Erauso sent off a good shot on target. Aquilino Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Romildo having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Popoy FC got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Romano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Luzaide in the 35th minute of play forced Popoy FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Romildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Pacifico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Cordara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ricardo Pacifico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Romildo having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Maximino Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Popoy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Cordara to make the kick off. When Damian Cordara came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Popoy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Cordara couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Romildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Erauso in the 53rd minute of play. Damian Cordara struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ricardo Pacifico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Popoy FC. After a rather tough play, Popoy FC's Arnaldo Frasco got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Popoy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Cordara to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Pacifico made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Maximino Argina sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Popoy FC's zone, Celso Luzaide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Romildo came out of the goal and Celso Luzaide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Luzaide in the 81st minute of play forced Popoy FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Romildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tulumaya booed when Popoy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tulumaya getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Aquilino Erauso hit a great ball. Damian Cordara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Pacifico having to interfere.
