In the 16th minute, Jacinto Eleazar fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 17th minute Dionisio Seme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Cambranes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leonel Quinteros fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VELEZ SARFIELD's protests and gave Leonel Quinteros a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes VELEZ SARFIELD got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Quinteros. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Eleazar in the 20th minute of play forced VELEZ SARFIELD's goalkeeper Roberto Cambranes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Luján's Jacinto Eleazar in the 35th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Roberto Cambranes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for VELEZ SARFIELD through an amazing save. A collision led to VELEZ SARFIELD getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jesus Enetz hit a great ball. Mateo Nuñez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Cambranes having to make a save. 75 minutes into the game, Jacinto Eleazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Roberto Cambranes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonel Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, VELEZ SARFIELD's Primitivo Domenec threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquin Raitin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jacinto Eleazar struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Roberto Cambranes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luján. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Jacinto Eleazar put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roberto Cambranes.
