If Horacio Paskal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Horacio Paskal came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Calderón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Paskal couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

That made the score 0-3 in the 70 minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atl Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Paskal came free, but Leo Ostargi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Ostargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Paskal in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Txatxu got free with Leo Ostargi in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Leo Ostargi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atl Rosario Central's zone, Fausto Txatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Ostargi came out of the goal and Fausto Txatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Txatxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Ostargi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Elvio Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
