With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saverio Efraim in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Gerazan saved LOS MONUMENTALES from getting behind. In the 18th match minute, LOS MONUMENTALES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Hulberto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Montay in the 20th minute of play forced LOS MONUMENTALES's goalkeeper Tomás Gerazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Mataneta FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Amadeo Pasqual scored to the left of an out of position Ovidio Henrico, making the score, 1-0. Tomás Gerazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Efraim in the 28th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Saverio Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Gerazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Ado hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Eriberto Montay spun around in front of the goal 38 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of LOS MONUMENTALES's goal. Tomás Gerazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Gerazan came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by La Mataneta FC's Saverio Efraim. But to his dismay, Saverio Efraim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeo Pasqual to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeo Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ovidio Henrico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to La Mataneta FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cecilio Delfino hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, LOS MONUMENTALES's goalkeeper Tomás Gerazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Montay. After having played for 60 minutes, Eriberto Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mataneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Montay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeo Pasqual sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Gerazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Efraim in the 65th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Eriberto Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mataneta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Montay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Gerazan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saverio Efraim in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Gerazan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bonifacio Eate got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Bonifacio Eate hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ovidio Henrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Bartoleme in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Mataneta FC's Gustavo Porfiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Cirilo Bartoleme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Herminio Birjaio made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Gerazan. LOS MONUMENTALES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 89th minute, Eriberto Montay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Mataneta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Saverio Efraim fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Mataneta FC's protests and gave Saverio Efraim a yellow card for diving instead. Saverio Efraim kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Mataneta FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
