But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Maria couldn't finish the play. Candido Hanot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Che, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, los carlitos boys's goalkeeper Candido Hanot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulino Maria. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gavino Che to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, los carlitos boys's Hermengildo Marcones threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cirilo Sotil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
