Jonatan Libertad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Berdoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ernesto Berdoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonatan Libertad having to make a save. Hilario Santiago struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jonatan Libertad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serena FC. After a rather tough play, Franck's Benicio Rico got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Franck's zone, Ernesto Berdoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Libertad came out of the goal and Ernesto Berdoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonatan Libertad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hilario Santiago went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the game, Serena FC's Ernesto Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonatan Libertad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Franck's Carolo Ralondo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Franck players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Serena FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Benino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jonatan Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Hilario Santiago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonatan Libertad. Hilario Santiago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Jonatan Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Santiago in the 62nd minute of play. When Hilario Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Serena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Santiago couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Berdoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hilario Santiago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jonatan Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Berdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
