In the 19th minute Nestor Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romulo Estevon got free with Gaudencio Telmo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Nestor Guib shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, one of Golpes FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Romulo Estevon fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golpes FC's protests and gave Romulo Estevon a yellow card for diving instead. Romulo Estevon kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ismael Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Ismael Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Guib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Iratze having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Guib in the 44th minute of play forced Golpes FC's goalkeeper Benito Iratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Ismael Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Iratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Chacabuco were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Guib to make the kick off. Santiago Eguerdi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gaudencio Telmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes in the game, Nestor Guib fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Iratze having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golpes FC's zone, Ismael Salomon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Iratze came out of the goal and Ismael Salomon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chacabuco's Nestor Guib got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Nestor Guib's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Iratze was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Silvano Sabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Gitano hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Ismael Salomon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chacabuco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Benito Iratze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ismael Salomon in the 84th minute. Nestor Guib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Ismael Salomon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Iratze was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Chacabuco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
