The referee ignored Progreso FC's protests and gave Teodosio Buinton a yellow card for diving instead. 12 minutes into the game, Braulio Estevon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Progreso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Sublime the free kick. After a rather tough play, Progreso FC's Braulio Estevon got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bonifacio Perrando might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Felipillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bonifacio Perrando ran back to his position shaking his head. After 15 minutes of play Progreso FC's Braulio Estevon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 15 played minutes Progreso FC got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Estevon. Fermin Gora hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Julio Sasoin came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the C.A. Sublime fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Sasoin couldn't finish the play. Alberto Selatse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cebo having to interfere. With a little luck, Progreso FC's Esteve Felipillo got control of the ball when Bonifacio Perrando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esteve Felipillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Sasoin in the 88th minute of play. Julio Sasoin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Felipillo having to interfere.
