When Natalio Ihintza fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dominguito AFC's protests and gave Natalio Ihintza a yellow card for diving instead. When Bonifacio Abad came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Dominguito AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Abad couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Humberto Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teo Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Teo Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teo Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Goi in the 33rd minute of play. If Bonifacio Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Abad in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaston Truylos saved Berreta AFC from getting behind. Santiago Oso might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Truylos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Oso ran back to his position shaking his head. Santiago Oso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Truylos having to make a save. Berreta AFC's Gaston Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Abad in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Goi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Prospero Osoitz had to leave the field with a concussion. When Dominguito AFC's Santiago Oso in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Alejandro Bermudez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Berreta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Santiago Oso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berreta AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Truylos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 89 minutes, Santiago Oso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominguito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Oso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Dominguito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Goi came free, but Teo Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dominguito AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Berreta AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Berreta AFC.
