Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Matias Guifre took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Matias Guifre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catúa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Guifre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eloy Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Guifre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matias Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Acevedo having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Gasoducto got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Duardo. Eloy Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Duardo's late challenge caught a Catúa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Duardo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Catúa booed when Gasoducto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Duardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gasoducto's Flavio Jerico got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Baldovino having to interfere. If Hector Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Jerico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remigio Duardo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Catúa's Arturo Ponciano tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 58thth minute of the game Matias Guifre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gasoducto's Eloy Acevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Marcial Iago sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eloy Acevedo skillfully saved the ball. Eloy Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Matias Guifre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hector Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matias Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Acevedo having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Gasoducto's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Ralondo came free, but Eloy Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Catúa's Damaso Baldovino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Sotero in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Flavio Jerico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gasoducto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Jerico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jesus Lapurdi fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catúa's protests and gave Jesus Lapurdi a yellow card for diving instead.
