Bob Marley FC's Mauro Bidari got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Bidari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Ixona was a little too slow when Mauro Bidari got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Jorge Ixona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Vimaro in the 28th minute. When Mauro Bidari came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Bob Marley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Bidari couldn't finish the play. Jairo Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jorge Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Segundo Enekoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Ixona was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Mauro Bidari capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mauro Bidari really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. A collision led to Bob Marley FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Higinio Bento hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Bidari to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bob Marley FC's zone, Ambrosio Romelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teo Theodore came out of the goal and Ambrosio Romelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Jairo Vimaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bob Marley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Vimaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Ixona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Bidari in the 88th minute of play.
