Defensa y Justicia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basilio Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Basilio Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Para el Negro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Jonathan Jakes managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Para el Negro FC's Basilio Torres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Anier Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Urti in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Basilio Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Jakes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Defensa y Justicia's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Vasco came free, but Jonathan Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jonathan Jakes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermegildo Vasco to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Celedonio Venceslas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 60 minutes, Celedonio Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensa y Justicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Venceslas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Ermegildo Vasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Rogelio Peruxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Aureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ermegildo Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Defensa y Justicia got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Urti. After 78 minutes of play Defensa y Justicia's Santiago Urti was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 79th match minute, Defensa y Justicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Urti to maneuver through the defense. If Basilio Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Para el Negro FC booed when Defensa y Justicia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Oskitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Vasco in the 85th minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Jonathan Jakes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermegildo Vasco in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Jakes saved Defensa y Justicia from getting behind. Ermegildo Vasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Jakes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Para el Negro FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Defensa y Justicia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
