When Ezequiel Shepherd came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Castilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Shepherd couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Shepherd in the 7th minute of play forced Ranquilón's goalkeeper Maximo Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Oto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jose Baldovino made a huge save. Jose Baldovino made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Cecilio Oto sent off a good shot on target. Godfredo Palos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Baldovino having to make a save. Maximo Selmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Ranquilón getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Melchor Perez hit a great ball. Ezequiel Shepherd took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximo Selmo. Maximo Selmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ezequiel Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Selmo having to interfere. Iker Costante kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. A hard shot by Severino Rencio from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Jose Baldovino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castilla FC! Tobias Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Godfredo Palos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Baldovino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ranquilón's Godfredo Palos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jose Baldovino. That made the score 2-1 after 48 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godfredo Palos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Ezequiel Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Selmo made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Arturo Pietro sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigio Manuelo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ranquilón booed when Castilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Manuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Ranquilón's Severino Rencio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ezequiel Shepherd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Godfredo Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cecilio Oto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Honorato Henry fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranquilón's protests and gave Honorato Henry a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ranquilón's Honorato Henry got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jose Baldovino came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Ranquilón's Godfredo Palos. But to his dismay, Godfredo Palos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Ranquilón walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
