After recieving a nice pass, Simplemente's Leonel Laurentzi tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Freddy Endura hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocencio Ticho got free with Zeledon Larra in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, Simplemente's goalkeeper Zeledon Larra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inocencio Ticho. When Arnulfo Raphael fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Antofalla FC's protests and gave Arnulfo Raphael a yellow card for diving instead. Arnulfo Raphael kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Inocencio Ticho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fausto Guerau fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simplemente's protests and gave Fausto Guerau a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Simplemente's Fausto Guerau got a free kick in the 35th minute. A collision led to Antofalla FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Modesto Nafarroa hit a great ball. Silvestre Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Antofalla FC's zone, Leandro Urko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Orlan came out of the goal and Leandro Urko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Thomas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximino Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Leonel Laurentzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvestre Orlan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Inocencio Ticho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Emilio Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Larra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Simplemente's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Lain came free, but Zeledon Larra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Dalmacio Thomas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simplemente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
