Espinillo's Americo Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Valentine in the 8th minute of play. Javier Ixaka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Americo Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Americo Karmel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Artemio Valentine went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Domingo Senin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Senin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Maura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Valentine came free, but Americo Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Espinillo's Mauricio Loco got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Omar Berenguer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Americo Karmel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Artemio Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Americo Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Valentine in the 39th minute of play. Mauricio Loco charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Loco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artemio Valentine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Americo Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Aplanadora Tricolor FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basilio Enetz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aplanadora Tricolor FC's Humberto Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Enetz in the 54th minute of play. Domingo Senin struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Humberto Maura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espinillo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Ixaka got free with Americo Karmel in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aplanadora Tricolor FC were furious when Omar Berenguer was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Espinillo. Alejo Richie stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Humberto Maura. 1-2. 99 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goalkeeper Americo Karmel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Ixaka. The Aplanadora Tricolor FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
