Andres Leguizamón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Louis in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Benavides's zone, Israel Louis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Leguizamón came out of the goal and Israel Louis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Haimar having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Saujil AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Fagondo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fernando Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Oinaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Saujil AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Haimar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Fagondo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Oinaz made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Saujil AFC's Israel Louis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Leguizamón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cristian Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Augusto Oinaz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Haimar. Saujil AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Oinaz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Augusto Oinaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Haimar having to interfere. Fernando Haimar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Fagondo went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Fagondo in the 64th minute of play forced Saujil AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Haimar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Augusto Oinaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saujil AFC's Fernando Haimar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Albano Tolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Fagondo struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Fernando Haimar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benavides. 74 minutes into the match, Saujil AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Oinaz came free, but Fernando Haimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Haimar having to interfere. Augusto Oinaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fernando Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benavides's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
