Luciano Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Argentino junior's Christian Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Sasoin in the 13th minute of play. When Leon Gelmiro fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peronistas FC's protests and gave Leon Gelmiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Leon Gelmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Victor Ipar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luciano Matthew was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabio Azeari scored 1-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luciano Matthew, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Sasoin in the 25th minute of play forced Argentino junior's goalkeeper Christian Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Ubaldo Sasoin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peronistas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Sasoin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Argentino junior getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Hipolito Berdoi hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Fabio Azeari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Victor Ipar, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 45 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luciano Matthew was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 49th minute Victor Ipar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Matthew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Peronistas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Argentino junior were winning 1-2.

If Ubaldo Sasoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
