Leonardo Heriberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Stanislao in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Eloy Ignatius made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Heriberto. Sunampa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 25th minute Ceferino Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Saverio Stanislao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leonardo Heriberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Ceferino Oroitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sangre Tatengue FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ceferino Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangre Tatengue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Oroitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Heriberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Sangre Tatengue FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Brion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Sangre Tatengue FC got a corner. Sunampa FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesus Maria ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jesus Maria got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leonardo Heriberto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ceferino Oroitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sangre Tatengue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Oroitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Heriberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Sunampa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Oroitz came free, but Leonardo Heriberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Oroitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Leonardo Heriberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Heriberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Oroitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 74th minute Ceferino Oroitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Heriberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Blasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Amador Rameriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristides Blasi came free in the 94th minute and tried to tip the ball over Amador Rameriz, but to the joy of Sangre Tatengue FC's supporters the ball went over. 97 minutes into the match, Saverio Stanislao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Heriberto. Sunampa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Stanislao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The Sunampa FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sangre Tatengue FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Sangre Tatengue FC.
