After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Justo Toli managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Toli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Tomi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Salvador Tirso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Evis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Salvador Tirso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Liberto in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Rencio in the 12th minute of play forced El otro's goalkeeper Jose Tomi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Toli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th match minute, El otro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Castulo to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Tirso made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Mauro Liberto sent off a good shot on target. Justo Toli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Tomi having to interfere. Justo Toli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candido Rencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Tomi having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, C.A. Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Tirso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Maldonado, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. C.A. Boca Juniors's Salvador Tirso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Evis in the 43rd minute of play. Jose Tomi came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. Boca Juniors's Candido Rencio. But to his dismay, Candido Rencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The El otro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A. Boca Juniors were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Rene Evis made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, C.A. Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Liberto came free, but Salvador Tirso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the El otro defense, Candido Rencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Tomi. The El otro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Tomi should have stopped the shot. El otro's Mauro Liberto managed to work through C.A. Boca Juniors's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mauro Liberto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 77th minute, Rene Evis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Salvador Tirso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jose Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Toli in the 81st minute of play. Rene Evis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Tirso having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match C.A. Boca Juniors got a corner. El otro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angel Mercurio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led C.A. Boca Juniors's Angel Mercurio to fire away a dangerous shot which Jose Tomi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The El otro supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A. Boca Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A. Boca Juniors.
