After 19 played minutes acapulco FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Ireno. Eleuterio Gerazan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Arnaldo Sarracino made a huge save. The supporters of acapulco FC booed when Loventué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Ramone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Sarracino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Goi in the 24th minute of play. Eleuterio Gerazan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Sarracino having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Orlando Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Orlando Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Goi made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Edelmiro Montel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Gabino skillfully saved the ball. Arnaldo Sarracino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Gerazan in the 57th minute of the match. If Eleuterio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eleuterio Gerazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Arnaldo Sarracino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
