Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Atlas Fc's Augusto Gorbea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Atlas Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Egun to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rene Matthew's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Gaur was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Rene Matthew kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patricio Gaur. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Rene Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Gaur having to interfere. Cayetano Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Augusto Gorbea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Matthew in the 22nd minute of play forced Atlas Fc's goalkeeper Patricio Gaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Augusto Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Camilo Eufemio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Atlas Fc booed when CA Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Quinten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Gaur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Matthew in the 32nd minute of play. Rene Matthew might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Gaur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Matthew ran back to his position shaking his head. Roberto Oinaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 44 minutes, Angel Gumaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlas Fc and the CA Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angel Gumaro hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Patricio Gaur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Matthew's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Rene Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Patricio Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rene Matthew to strike the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Ospin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Eufemio in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Atlas Fc getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Silvestre Onofre hit a great ball. Rene Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Patricio Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayetano Ospin had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Augusto Gorbea from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Rene Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Gaur having to interfere. Atlas Fc's Augusto Gorbea got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Eufemio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Iturri during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, CA Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Iturri to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Eufemio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Ospin having to interfere. In the 94th minute, CA Boca Juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Camilo Eufemio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 99 played minutes CA Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Rene Matthew. In the 100th minute of the match Gerardo Koldo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cayetano Ospin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Atlas Fc's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
