Enrique Cloyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Chumo went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Maximino Costante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brete AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 20th minute, Maximino Costante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Enrique Cloyo. The goal made the score 3-0. A collision led to Talleres de Córdoba getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Guillermo Eli hit a great ball. With a little luck, Talleres de Córdoba's Enrique Cloyo got control of the ball when Maximino Costante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Frasquito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Cloyo having to interfere. If Luis Frasquito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talleres de Córdoba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Costante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Costante got free with Enrique Cloyo in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximino Costante in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Cloyo saved Talleres de Córdoba from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Frasquito in the 64th minute of play forced Talleres de Córdoba's goalkeeper Enrique Cloyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
