In the 8thth minute of the game Vicente Paul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Realisiados F.C.'s Severiano Llope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artemio Ofelio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Severiano Llope 10 minutes into the match. Realisiados F.C.'s Severiano Llope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Paul in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute Vicente Paul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Llope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as San Martín de Tucumán's Artemio Ofelio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severiano Llope. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the match, San Martín de Tucumán's Artemio Ofelio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severiano Llope narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Florencio Viviano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Eusebio Indartsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Indartsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Viviano in the 35th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Ofelio couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseo Orain to strike the kick off in the second half. San Martín de Tucumán's Vicente Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Damian Peru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artemio Ofelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Llope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Florencio Viviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebio Indartsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Orain in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Bernardo Manilan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florencio Viviano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Eusebio Indartsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Eusebio Indartsu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Florencio Viviano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Eusebio Indartsu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Florencio Viviano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Eusebio Indartsu made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Florencio Viviano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Artemio Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Llope having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, one of San Martín de Tucumán:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. San Martín de Tucumán had won after a very even match.
