Generoso Lawrence charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Lawrence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Generoso Lawrence hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, C. A. ALESSANDRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Cefero to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Chinto in the 22nd minute of play forced Jorge Newbery's goalkeeper Herminio Sugoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Humberto Rojelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Generoso Lawrence was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to C. A. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herminio Sugoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Cefero in the 39th minute. Celestino Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humberto Rojelio to make the kick off. Reynaldo Artal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Fraco in the 54th minute. Humberto Rojelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Artal having to interfere. If Fermin Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paolo Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Fermin Cefero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jorge Newbery's Ildefonso Lia got a free kick in the 96th minute. Fermin Cefero scored 2-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herminio Sugoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
