The Club Atletico Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonzalo Txema should have stopped the shot. The Saujil fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Saujil's Gerardo Orlondo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Orlondo in the 18th minute of play forced Club Atletico Talleres's goalkeeper Gonzalo Txema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tobias Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Casado's late challenge caught a Saujil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
