Leonel Obano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Braulio Enaut fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menucos AFC's protests and gave Braulio Enaut a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Menucos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Enaut to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Godfredo Gabirel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Everardo Palos, 1-0. Astor Aurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Rumaldo in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Menucos AFC's zone, Leonel Obano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Aurre came out of the goal and Leonel Obano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leonel Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th match minute, Menucos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Selatse to maneuver through the defense. After 35 played minutes Tupungata FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Ubelteso. After recieving a nice pass, Menucos AFC's Jacobo Savier tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Godfredo Gabirel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Everardo Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Gabirel, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Tupungata FC's Diego Jax got a free kick in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Rumaldo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Gabirel in the 52nd minute of play forced Tupungata FC's goalkeeper Everardo Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Obano got free with Astor Aurre in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Rumaldo in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Astor Aurre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristian Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Menucos AFC's zone, Leonel Obano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Aurre came out of the goal and Leonel Obano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Rumaldo struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Astor Aurre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tupungata FC. Everardo Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Cordara, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Godfredo Gabirel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Gabirel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Everardo Palos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Menucos AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tupungata FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
