The Pasco AFC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Pasco AFC's Serafino Urritz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ladislao Iigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Arnoldo Clemencin made a huge save. Serafino Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Delmar Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Pasco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Restu. After some careless play in the Imperio defense, Tomas Salvino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmar Criston. The Imperio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Criston should have stopped the shot. Delmar Criston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Urritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafino Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Delmar Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Tomas Salvino put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Delmar Criston. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abelardo Ramirez to make the kick off. Serafino Urritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Criston having to interfere.
