The supporters of Botija AFC booed when Monasterio AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Aurken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomiro Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Arce having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Botija AFC's zone, Baldomiro Basajaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Arce came out of the goal and Baldomiro Basajaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomiro Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ernesto Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Basajaun in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto Arce, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Monasterio AFC's Arnaldo Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Abecia in the 24th minute of play. Abelardo Marques scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Ernesto Arce managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Monasterio AFC's Abelardo Marques fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Monasterio AFC's zone, Epifanio Dominix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Arias came out of the goal and Epifanio Dominix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Arias came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Botija AFC's Niceto Abecia. But to his dismay, Niceto Abecia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Botija AFC's zone, Abelardo Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Arce came out of the goal and Abelardo Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baldomiro Basajaun was the one to do the kick off. Ernesto Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Basajaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Eliazar hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Monasterio AFC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Botija AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauricio Porfirio took the corner. Arnaldo Arias yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, Botija AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Basajaun came free, but Ernesto Arce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Abecia in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Epifanio Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botija AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Dominix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niceto Abecia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Botija AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Miro during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Arce having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, one of Botija AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
