Tornquist's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malagueño AFC the free kick. After 28 played minutes Tornquist got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Dubardo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melchor Jon in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Urtun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Amador Ederono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nereo Urtun. Malagueño AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amador Ederono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Jon in the 43rd minute of play forced Malagueño AFC's goalkeeper Nereo Urtun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melchor Jon was the one to do the kick off. Nereo Urtun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Aurken's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cayetano Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tornquist's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Aurken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Urtun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After recieving a nice pass, Tornquist's Melchor Jon tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nereo Urtun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Aurken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
