Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raimundo Raphael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Candido Ruisko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Norino, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Roberto Elodio hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sabaleros F.C's zone, Ambrosio Clemencin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Ruisko came out of the goal and Ambrosio Clemencin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candido Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Norino in the 14th minute of play. When Mario Norino came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Álvarez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Norino couldn't finish the play. Sabaleros F.C's Candido Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Norino in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Álvarez booed when Sabaleros F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Bernal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Esteban Toro sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Candido Ruisko threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Esteban Toro this time. Mario Norino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Ruisko having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Luar to make the kick off. If Luciano Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Álvarez fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Álvarez's Mario Norino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ernesto Luar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luciano Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Álvarez got a freekick which was hit by Mario Norino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cayetano Bernal got free with Raimundo Raphael in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ambrosio Clemencin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Raphael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Luar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Sabaleros F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
