Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) Xeneize F.C's Apolo Gorbea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, Cornelio Criston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xeneize F.C and the Matorrales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornelio Criston hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Julian Rameriz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Melquiades Nuñez. Apolo Gorbea took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Johans. Mauricio Johans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 15 minutes into the match, Matorrales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Iago came free, but Mauricio Johans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Gorbea struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Mauricio Johans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xeneize F.C. 17 minutes into the match, Genaro Iago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauricio Johans. Matorrales FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genaro Iago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Mauricio Johans came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Xeneize F.C's Apolo Gorbea. But to his dismay, Apolo Gorbea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 31st minute, Genaro Iago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Johans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Mauricio Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Iago in the 38th minute of play. Mauricio Johans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Iago in the 39th minute of the match. If Aquilino Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Xeneize F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Rosario came free, but Julian Rameriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Xeneize F.C were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Rosario was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Matorrales FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Johans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Iago. 58 minutes into the match, Xeneize F.C's Aquilino Basajaun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Johans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aquilino Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Rosario in the 64th minute of play forced Xeneize F.C's goalkeeper Julian Rameriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauricio Johans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute, Igor Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Aquilino Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneize F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Basajaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Johans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Oto in the 76th minute of play forced Xeneize F.C's goalkeeper Julian Rameriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Igor Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Rameriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Xeneize F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes, Matorrales FC's Melquiades Nuñez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julian Rameriz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Matorrales FC reached it. When Matorrales FC's Niceto Oto in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Xeneize F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Mauricio Johans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Gorbea in the 83rd minute of the match. Aquilino Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Apolo Gorbea fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mauricio Johans, passed just outside the right post. In the 88th minute, Hermengildo Mano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Johans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genaro Iago went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Xeneize F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
